CHAPTER 1
How the user chooses the app
Add a query in the search field

According to App Store, 65% of apps are installed through the store search.
STEP 2
Look through the search results
Usually the first 5-10 apps.
STEP 3
Choose an app with the graphics
(icon, screenshots) They like and with an acceptable rating.
Two-thirds of users look at app ratings before installing an app. An app with a 3-star rating may lose about a half of potential installs while an app with 1-star or 2-star rating may lose them all.

Take a more detailed look at screenshots, videos (if any), app description, and user reviews.

App Store and Google Play algorithms are different and index apps differently.
NOTE:
To get into search results, your app should be indexed by relevant keywords. We speak of indexing when a store scans an app page and makes the app show up for certain search queries.
Algorithms scan for relevant keywords not only in the "native" metadata like title, short description, or full description, but also in the metadata of other localizations, categories, tags, reviews, and even the developer's email.
